Ahmed Samir Hedar

I'm an Egyptian engineer and researcher currently based in Norway. My work sits at the intersection of energy systems, business, and innovation. At Smart Innovation Norway, I contribute to EU-funded projects that explore energy flexibility, energy democratization, and business model development (an interesting mix, often feels contradictory if you ask me).

Beyond research, I'm drawn to personal expression and reflective thinking. I enjoy building things from scratch—whether it's code, ideas, or this website. I'm currently exploring writing and other creative outlets to articulate questions that don't have straightforward answers.

I work best in deep focus, often in bursts, and I am only satisfied if I REALLY understand how things work—from physical systems to people's decisions. I believe in thinking carefully, acting with intention, and never forgetting the human side of innovation.
